Silk Weaves Expo To Be Held In City. Hastashilpi Artisans and Weavers Welfare Association (HAWWA) would be organising a 6-day, Silk India Expo -2014.
More than 50 different ethnic silk weaves to be featured in the expo
Hastashilpi Artisans and Weavers Welfare Association (HAWWA) would be organising a 6-day, Silk India Expo -2014. “The intension behind the expo is to make the handloom weaves accessible directly to the customers, without the moderators or middlemen,” said a spokes person with HAWWA. Various silk saree weavers, handloom clusters and silk co-operative societies will exhibit their products at more than 50 stalls.
Mysore silk saris, crepe & georgette silk saris, chiffon silk saris, tassar silk sarees and suit, Kanchipuram silk saris & wedding saris, designer fancy saris, darmavaram silk saris, raw silk & tassar, jute silk saris, dhaka silk saris, handloom silk cotton saris, silk blends saris & stole, silk shawls, silk blends fabrics/ furnishing, uppada, gadwal silk saris and more products from pan India would feature in the expo.
The expo would be from May 14 to 19 at Sri Sathya Sai Nigamagamam, Srinagar Colony from 10.30am to 8.30pm
