Residents of Uma Nagar in Begumpet observed Ganesh Nimajjanam on a green note. They met at the colony park and immersed the eco-friendly idols in a pond specifically created for the purpose.

“Residents feel that as true citizens we should not add to the traffic woes by taking Lord Ganesha to Hussain Sagar. Therefore, in the presence of families and friends of our colony, Lord Ganesha was immersed in a beautiful pond in the Uma Nagar Main Park,” said one of the residents.

Ganesh Utsav is being celebrated in the colony for the last 11 years.
