Maris Stella College organised a Rangoli competition for students on Saturday as part of the cultural week celebrations. Intermediate, degree and PG students showcased their skills in drawing Rangolis at the event. About 100 teams, each consisting three to four students, took part in the contest. Besides regular designs and patterns, Rangolis with social themes like ‘Save Environment’, ‘Protect Girl Child’, ‘Women Empowerment’, ‘Anti-trafficking’ and ‘Child Education’ were also drawn by contestants. College lecturers Satya Sudha and Triveni acted as judges for the competition. Later, prizes were given away to winners.
