Shedding those extra kilos, meeting the weight loss resolutions and staying fit all the time, is no piece of cake. But for Ramona Braganza, it is not a hard thing. With a lifetime spent in fitness as NFL cheerleader, model, global fitness expert and celebrity trainer, Ramona has worked with some of the biggest names in the Hollywood industry from Jessica Alba to Jessica Biel.

Known for her famous 321 Training Programme that Hollywood celebrities swear by, fitness expert Ramona Braganza in a tete-a-tete with ‘The Hans India’, shares the mantra of a fit body and also tells about her true passion of guiding people of all age groups towards a better and healthy life- a peace of kind, a good spirit and a fit body.

How does it feel to be in India?

I am really glad to be here. I love India. My parents are from India but I lived most of my life in Canada and Los Angeles. So I always feel great whenever I come down to India.

Being an expert in fitness, what is your approach towards a happy and fit life?

I love life and I love my job. I am grateful to be able to do what I love and to able to make a living out of it. I also love travelling, which I do while spreading the news about fitness.

If you have to give an advice on achieving better fitness, what would it be?

Working out regularly is very important. Choose a goal and make a plan that includes your workout schedule at least for a week. If you are too busy, cut down your exercise time, but do it.Coming to the food routine, what is your advice for a better diet? Share about your breakfast and your diet after workout.

I suggest including a lot of vegetables and fruit in your meal. For me, breakfast is two eggs, two slices of turkey bacon, and a slice of wheat toast with a little jam. And yes, a cup of coffee. After a workout, a protein shake with berries, an orange and some low-fat cheese is my choice.

Any guilty pleasures?

I have a sweet tooth for a few things. Every now and then I enjoy having a lot of chocolates, protein bars and a good glass of red wine. But one should learn to control themselves. Always keep it 50-50, sometimes grab what you like and sometimes just avoid it.
