Competitiveness key to success

A national level management meet ‘CONVEGNO-2K15’ was held at SRK Institute of Technology (SRKIT) at Enikepadu on Wednesday. Participating in the inaugural session of the meet as a chief guest, Axis Bank senior manager (HR) Karthik Suresh exhorted students to improve their competitiveness to shine in career.

“There are good career prospects for business administration students if they have talent and creativity. They need to develop technical and soft skills to enhance their knowledge. The students can become successful entrepreneurs if they come up with innovative ideas exploring the business opportunities in a fast growing economy,” he said.

Shine Alight (Young Manager), Amexer (Stock Game), Riddle (Biz Quiz), Novelty (Market Makers), Outlander (HR Game) and Chiller (Culturals) were held as part of ‘CONVEGNO-2K15’. More than 350 students from about 50 engineering colleges in the city and its surrounding areas participated in the management meet.

Cash prizes and mementos were presented to the winners of various events at the valedictory. SRKIT secretary BS Sri Krishna, Padmasri Townships Private Limited managing director PS Rao, MBA Department head N Subrahmanyam, Prof P Subbaiah, event coordinator V Krishna Prasanna and other faculty members were present.
