Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Y Satyanarayana Chowdary on Wednesday stated that there was no dearth of financial resources to promote entrepreneurship among youngsters. He was speaking after inaugurating a new building at Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology (ALIET).
“The Centre and the State governments are committed to encouraging creativity and talent of youngsters. The government will extend all support if youngsters come up with new ideas and inventions for industrial development of the country. Engineering professionals should think of becoming employers rather than employees for the development of society,” Chowdary said.
Exhorting students to uphold social and moral values, he said, “Success and failure are a part of life and maintaining a balance is more important. True to the sayings of Swami Vivekananda there is nothing that cannot be achieved in the universe if a man is committed towards achieving it. With the IT revolution and technological advancement, there are ample opportunities for youngsters at their doorstep.”
He added that students should spend quality time on gaining knowledge and focus on money management, marketing and other important aspects to become successful entrepreneurs, besides speaking a little on the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Make in India.
Malaxmi Group managing director Y Harish Chandra Prasad urged students to develop the habit of saving for a secure future. “We are always ready to welcome students with creativity, talent and innovative ideas,” he added.ALIET director Fr Thainese, rector Fr D Ravi Sekhar, Andhra Province representative Fr BS Amalraj, principal O Mahesh, Fr Melchoir and other faculty members were present on the occasion.
