Metro Rail test runs on Miyapur KPHB route

L&T Hyderabad Metro Rail started testing trains on Stage 2 between Miyapur and KPHB on Thursday. An approval has been granted by the electrical inspector general to charge the stretch. Fourteen trains will be test-run on this track covering a distance of 4.4 km. The Miyapur depot is almost complete and ready to maintain trains.

V B Gadgil, CEO and MD, L&T Metro Rail, inaugurated the test run and inspected the first test ride along with MP Naidu, project director, L&T Metro Rail. “It is another important milestone for Hyderabad Metro Rail Project and for Stage 2 (Miyapur – S R Nagar). This is a testimony for bringing world-class Metro Rail facility to Hyderabad and very soon the city will enjoy riding their own metro,” said Gadgil.
