Wells Fargo Enterprise Global Services (EGS) employees from Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad have raised Rs 30 lakh towards relief and rehabilitation of the earthquake victims in Nepal. The proceeds from Hyderabad will also be utilised to support Izzatnagar and Hafeezpet government schools, and the PSS Trust which works to improve the lives of girls in India.

In Bengaluru, the proceeds will be used for Triveni Nagar School, Swanthana (a home for mentally and physically challenged girls), and Snehadaan (an orphanage for HIV-infected children). “We have a robust annual calendar of community programs. What makes Fundraising Week unique is the fact that it gets our team members involved in a fun way for a social cause.

We initiated this event in 2011, under our Sparsh community service programme, with the objective of raising money for the government schools and homes for the underprivileged children that we support throughout the year. Our hearts also go out to the people of Nepal. We hope that our contribution will assist with the relief efforts,” said Vishnupriya Saksena, head of corporate sustainability.
