Students of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) protested at the Osmania University (OU) against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s decision to provide housing for the poor at the campus. J Kalyan, chairman, Telangana Vidyarthi Nirudhoya Joint Action Committee, said, “KCR is trying to to construct houses for the poor at the campus only to gain political mileage and to garner votes from them ahead of the GHMC elections.

OU students will not allow his administrative machinery to enter the campus at any cost. The land will be protected to build education institutions and buildings for research which was the dream of the Nizam Osman Ali Khan.”
