Hari Hara Kala Bhavan witnessed a Vilasini Natyam and Kuchipudi program by Yashoda Thakore and her students recently. The students depicted nritya ratnavali by Jayappa Senani which was translated in English by Yashoda. It depicted Ganapati admiring his parents Parvati and Siva, followed by a swarapallavi.

“Kinnerasani” of poet Vishwanatha Satyanarayana was on the flowing river waters and their gurgling, meandering stream. Yashoda in a cream coloured costume made the audience behold this sight with her mastery in abhinaya.

Gopika Geetam, a ballet on lord Krishna and his gopis giving up their pride to be with him was performed by the group. These fleeting moods of gopis and their vaibhav bhakti were expressed aptly by Yashoda, Sindhuja and Apeksha. The item concludes when gopis follow Krishna's footprints and find him appearing in myriad forms.
