Another 132 properties are to be acquired by the Metro Rail authorities for the free flow of traffic on metro corridors. This was informed by N V S Reddy in the special task force meeting convened by Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma on Tuesday. In the weekly review meeting some key decisions were taken pertaining to the acquisition of properties and pursuing the court cases with the help of Advocate General.

In the weekly review meeting some key decisions were taken pertaining to the acquisition of properties and pursuing the court cases with the help of Advocate General.


The Chief Secretary directed the GHMC special officer and collectors of Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad to expedite the process. The chief secretary took a serious view of dumping of debris by the private property owners on the central median below the Metro viaduct at some places and instructed L&TMRHL and GHMC to be more vigilant and impose penalties. He also suggested that the lands once acquired are to be barricaded and electrical poles shifted.
