4th Lion, a hit among denizens. The recently launched Vijayawada Police Citizen Services mobile application 4th Lion has become an instant hit in the city. Developed by Empower i-Tech Private Limited, the app has been downloaded by as many as 4,800 android users within the last three days.

The mobile app enables people in the jurisdiction of Vijayawada Police Commissionerate to get various safety, security and public services. It also helps promote Smart Police – Citizen Interaction.
The novel features of 4th Lion includes SOS, suggestions and complaints, track my travel, e-challan, fir case status, public transport complaint, vacation information, wholesale rates, bus, train, flight timings, movies info, public info and verification services.
The new addition to the already available services through the police website is the SOS for the benefit of people who are travelling alone and new to the city. The SOS feature allows the user to alert police if they are in danger. Out of the total 381 reviewers, 289 have rated the app excellent and outstanding, giving the app an average rating of 4.6 out of 5.
In his review, Jangam said, “The app is very good. Every citizen of Vijayawada should have it. It gives maximum information on several issues. The security information, flight schedules and vegetable prices are very useful. It is really a good work; the app must be updated regularly.”
Buoyed by the initial positive feedback from the users, the police have launched a promotional campaign to ensure that more people in the city utilise the mobile app for their safety and security.
