About 30 members of Hyderabad Digital Photography Club (HDPC) organised an adventure photography and trekking trip to the historical Kondaveedu Fort in Amaravath¬i and Undavalli in Guntur district last weekend. Ram Nagesh, the organiser of the club, says, “The trip was both exciting and adventurous as trekkers enjoyed the unexplored and pristine beauty of nature.”

On day one, the trekkers visited Amaravathi temple, Buddha Statue and Undavalli caves. The trekkers noted that the mountains were steep and quite straight forward and difficult for some of the new members. "Once on the top we took a breather. The view from the top was amazing.

Fields stretched to the horizon with very few villages scattered around. Few kilometers away we could see some many more hillocks. But we left those for another day and started towards our next destination," reminisced the excited boys and girls. “Mercifully Kondaveedu Fort is not a tourist place, and hence there are no specific paths that take you from point A to point B. HDPC organiser Ram Nagesh went a few weeks back and did a recce to guide everyone.

We crossed over three mountains and passed many scenic places. Without a doubt the best place to be dead tired is within the nature’s lap. Those small breaks of 5-7 minutes were more refreshing than anything else,” the trekkers added. “The return was a test of water management skills– we had grossly underestimated the humidity levels–apples had been munched to the last morsel and just a single bottle of water was remaining,” added the adventure clubsters

We finally reached the hill top and the view from there was amazing. As photography is a passion for the group, everyone were eager to capture the nature on camera,” detailed the trekkers. The club members appealed to the government to develop the place as a tourist hub with basis amenities.
