Strong will to hard work made me climb the Mt Everest. I used to work out 11 hours a day and consumed 8000 calories a day to make my dream come true”, reveals Arjun. “I believe in one step at a time philosophy, which has helped me in not only climbing the Mt Everest but also helped me in dealing with the hurdles of my life”, he added.


On speaking about his future plans, “I aim to achieve few milestones, not many Indians attempted before there are 14 highest mountain peaks in the world which are above 8,000 metres. And all these peaks have been climbed by only 28 persons and no Indians are present in the list”.


He also shared that he wants to climb seven highest peaks from the seven continents. Arjun Vajpai is not just the youngest individual to climb Mt Everest but also the youngest person in the world to have done three 8000 metre peaks. He is a multi talented person who bagged numerous gold medals in Taekwondo, Karate, Long Jump and Basket Ball. He also received NDTV Sports Nirmal Lifestyle award, Times Now Amazing Indian Award and CNN IBN’s Young Indian Leader Award.
