Vayupuri celebrates Foundation Day
The Air force Officers’ Cooperative Housing Society Ltd, Vayupuri celebrated its 53rd Foundation Day at their recreation centre in Sainikpuri recently.
The Air force Officers’ Cooperative Housing Society Ltd, Vayupuri celebrated its 53rd Foundation Day at their recreation centre in Sainikpuri recently.
The function was presided over by the Society President Wing Commander TJ Reddy, VSM who highlighted the efforts made in the recent past to bring up infrastructural facilities for the senior citizens of the colony besides vastly improved get-up, cleanliness and signage.
In his address, he thanked the Air Force visionaries who conceptualised and planned the colony fifty years ago with wide roads, parks, central sewage and greenery, making its one of the best defence residential colonies in the country.
Three Octogenarians Col N Sudhakar, Wg Cdr IPC Reddi and Wg Cdr SP Sahgal were honored on the day by Air Commodore Suresh Badyal, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station, Begumpet.
Participating members enjoyed the standup comedy act and singing by Shabbir Khan and team. N Sreenivasa Rao, Divisional Cooperative Officer along with MA Mujeeb, Society’s Legal Counsel, Managing Committee members of Sainikpuri Society were present.
