The graduating classes of X and XII at St. Andrews School received a heart-warming farewell recently. Bidding adieu to the graduating classes a prayer service and farewell were organised at the premises. The all-religion prayer service began with the invocation, followed by readings from the Holy Scriptures.

In her address, Hyacinth Emanuel, Managing Director, illustrated the importance of having the right attitude to achieve success. She said, “A positive attitude makes you happier and more resilient, it can help you circumvent bad feelings and it even increases your chances of success in any endeavour. In addition, having a positive attitude makes you more creative and it can help you to make better decisions.”

The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments.The Principal, Shamita Bhattacharya, speaking on the theme, ‘Dream Big, Soar High’, encouraged the outgoing students to chalk out their goals, instead of treading on the trodden path.

What followed was entertainment at its best, a medley dance fest that captivated the audience with its crispness and energy. At the end, the twelfth graders took to stage for a ramp walk and to express their gratitude and love for the school, their teachers and friends. Through a special poem penned by them, the students thanked every teacher for the unending support and guidance given to them.

The programme concluded on a sober note by the Dean, RK Maini, reminding the students of their responsibilities towards their school, family, self, country and the community.
