A day after the UPSC has declared Civil Services Examination (CSE) results, all the rank holders and their families continue to revel in the joy of success.
A total of 1078 aspirants have been recommended for appointment to Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’; out of which 70 members are from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The interesting fact is that major percentage of students irrespective of their native state have taken coaching at Hyderabad and bagged ranks.
“It is a very proud moment as a good percentage of rank holders in 2015 Civil Services Examinations have taken coaching from various coaching centres of Hyderabad,” says M Bala Latha, Civil Servant and a career guidance counselor from CSB IAS Academy.
“CSB IAS Academy, Ashok Nagar has bagged five ranks which include – 33 Anand O, 363 Kandi Praveen, 650 Abhishek, 748 Vivek Jhonson, 948 Sahas Surya.
Anand O, from Kerala has bagged All India 33 rank, and has pointed out the importance of choosing an optional. He said, “It is very important to have a good mentor, while preparing for civils; most of the optionals have vast syllabus and unless an experienced person guides you to understand, it is difficult.
Hailing from an engineering background, I was worried to take Political Science as my optional due to the rumours about the syllabus and understanding. But thanks to my mentor Balalatha, I have cleared it successfully.
Deciphering notorious notations of political science, Anand shares, “More than half of the syllabus overlaps with GS syllabus. Political science is in fact very interesting subject and brings you to the real world”.
Another rank holder Sahas Surya, All India Rank 948, is a native of Hyderabad. He points out the importance of proper planning and dedication.
“This is my second attempt and was just praying to god for any rank. After my first attempt, I was de-motivated but guidance from my mentor and support from my parents have helped me in bagging this rank,” expresses Surya.
“I will be giving more attempts to secure a better rank and a better position,” he adds. Kandi Praveen, who is presently working as an auditor at CAG origin from Edullabayyaral village in Khammam District is extremely happy after bagging All India 363 rank.
Praveen says, “I am very happy that I finally cracked civils, this was my fifth attempt and my mentor has guided me well in my journey to success.” Incidentally Bala Latha is the mentor for Praveen too.
While All India 650 rank holder Pravimal Abhishek, from Tenali, Guntur credits dedication and commitment for his result, he also has been perseverant.
“It is very important to be committed to the preparation as only dedication and commitment helps you in cracking civils, I have given four attempts till now, I was unsuccessful last three times. Zeal to serve public has helped me in reaching my goal” shares Abhishek.
“I could not be anymore happier, it is a dream come true for me,” says Vivek Jhonson from Kerala, who has secured All India 783 rank.“Guidance and comprehensive material and meticulous action plan has helped me a lot in bagging rank,” he adds.
