Nasr brings alive Telangana culture

The Nasr Girls High School conducted an exhibition titled ‘Telangana Exhibition’ on Friday. Students were innovative in their approach and perfectionism in their executions and each house covered the topics to cohesively present an exhibition that educated and entertained its attendants.

AK Goel, an advisor to the Government of Telangana, was the chief guest at the programme. The Topaz House tackled its topic ‘History of Telangana’, with the innovative use of a timeline representing Telangana through the years and 10 spectacularly detailed models of district landmarks, including a scale model of the facade of the Charminar.

The Sapphire House displayed various facts of their topic ‘Culture’ by organising stalls depicting festivals, cuisines and fabrics. They also put up a cultural show to depict the fusion of Persian and Telugu traditional culture. The Ruby House showcased their topic ‘Vision and Development’ by constructing intricate models of structures and buildings like a futuristic stadium, or a model village to create the future landscape of Telangana.

They employed the creative use of power point to show their vision of Warangal in a few years’ time. A tree of vision was also created as a backdrop. The Emerald House depicted the political and economic life of Telangana by staging a short play on Osmania University agitation and creating realistic models of bazaars selling the most popular goods.

The Amethyst House portrayed their topic ‘Art and Craft’ through the display of beautiful areas of at like Lac Bangles, Bronze Casting and Bidri Sculpture.
