​Nizamabad: Heavy arrangements were made in Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts on Friday for conducting the Group II examination for the first time after the formation of Telangana State in 2014.

The test was conducted in a total of 100 centres in Nizamabad( 57), Bodhan(15) and Armoor (28) divisions for the benefit of 34,254 candidates.

Section 144 was clamped at the centres amid tight police security. Some candidates were forced to go home as they reached the test centre one minute after the scheduled time.

In Dichpalli mandal candidates reached the Telangana University to take the examination, amid heavy security. Each centre was manned by four police personnel under the supervision of an Assistant Commissioner of Police.

Top officials like the Police Commissioner and the Additional Commissioner of Police inspected the centres to ensure that the exam went off peacefully without any untoward incident.

One invigilator was appointed for 24 candidates. Only those who took the first paper were allowed to appear for the entire examination.

Subjects like General Studies and General Abilities under Paper I were covered in the morning for two hours from 10AM.

Under Paper II from 2.30 PM. History, Political Science and Society were covered. On November 13 papers III (from 10 am to 12.30 pm) and IV (from 2.30 to 5 pm) are to be covered by the candidates.

While Paper III covers Economics and Development, Paper IV comprises Telangana Movement and Establishment of Telangana State.

In Kamareddy, eight candidates, four each at Jeevadan High School and RK College, were not allowed to enter the test centres as they reached late.

Those coming from far off places faced hardship in reaching the centre on time. There were 21 centres for 9,152 candidates in Kamareddy district.

The centres were located in Kamareddy (19), Bhiknoor South Campus and Sadashivnagar Model School (one each).

Joint Collector Sathayya told The Hans India that 40 per cent of candidates appeared for exam at Bhiknoor South campus.
