Accompanied by their teachers over 500 students from corporate and government schools in the city gathered at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan as part of the Children's Day celebrations.

The children moved in the ‘Hall’ in fancy dresses or school uniforms and some of them rendered verses and rhymes. Sweets and chocolates were distributed to the students to carry home.

In addition, the National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), Tarnaka in the city and the Telangana Pollution Control Board arranged exhibitions to bring awareness among the little minds on the need to check pollution that is increasing to alarming levels across the country.

The NIN officials explained to the little ones to avoid eating junk food and the ill-effects on consuming the stuff.
