Addressing the media persons later, he said the State government was taking all necessary steps to develop the remote areas. Parnashala and Bhogatha waterfalls of Vajedu mandals shall be transformed into tourist centres, he informed.

He also added that the third phase of Mission Kakatiya works will be commenced soon. “Rupees 300 crore was allotted to road construction works for each district, out of which 100 crore were allotted to Charla mandal itself. The works of Palemvagu project have come to an end. We shall supply water to two crops by this June. Keeping agriculture in view, we have constructed

warehouses in every mandals which cost the government five crore rupees. As Mission Bhagiratha works have come to an end, all the villages in the area shall be supplied drinking water by March,” he said. He also added that a cable bridge would be constructed at Parnashala which enables water transportation along Godavari river.

MLA Sunnam Rajaiah, MLC Balasani Laxminarayana and other TRS leaders attended the press meet. Earlier, he inaugurated the construction works of 40 double bedroom flats at Kothagudem and also toured Vajedu and Venkatapuram mandals.

He later returned to Charla mandal and inaugurated the construction works of girls’ post-matric hostels and boys’ post-matric hostels.

He started the toll free helpline number 18004252425 at Unjupally Ashrama School, which enables the students to clarify doubts regarding education thereby providing them career guidance. He was accompanied by Charla ZPTC T Haritha, Sarpanch P Jyothirmayee, vice-MPP B Mani, MPTC A Eshwar, TRS mandal president P Ravikumar and others.
