Excerpts
How did you guys break the ice when you met each other for the first time?
Saahil: We both are shy in real life but after doing the mock shoot we started bonding well and now we have become really good friends. So I would say we clicked well since the day one.
Sangeita: Yes, both of us are introvert and shy, but it was very simple to talk to him and soon we became friendly.
Was it awkward filming romantic scenes at any time?
Saahil: Never...this is the best part about shooting with her because she is very understanding and she knows I will never make her uncomfortable so she lets me do my thing and people have liked us as a couple since our first scene together which was a ‘romantic scene’.
Sangeita: Not at all. Its work and we have to deliver a scene. We just have to make sure it looks good and real to the audiences.
What makes your on-screen chemistry work?
Saahil: As I said we have become really good friends and we are comfortable with each other so I believe it reflects on screen too.
Sangeita: I think it is because how we are off-screen. That really makes it easy.
Who is better co-star among the two of you?
Saahil: Wrong question (laughs). Why would I take her name (laughs).
Sangeita: Saahil. He is technically strong (understands lights and camera angle) and is very helpful and understanding.
Who takes more re-takes?
Saahil: Actually, we both do but we have different reasons as I'm never convinced with my performance and she always has long dialogues and back to back scenes so she has to juggle between the lines but she does it really well.
Sangeita: Both of us. But I take whenever I have more lines (I have a goldfish memory) and Saahil asks for re-takes (as an actor he is never satisfied).
What’s your off-screen equation like?
Saahil: We have bonded well so it's always fun and games when we are on the set and we get a lot of good comments for our interviews, which indicates that people like our off-screen chemistry too.
Sangeita: Friendly, positive and fun.
Where are you most likely to be found during breaks on the set?
Saahil: I'm mostly with Samridh eating and gossiping.
Sangeita: Mostly on the set or sometimes outside taking a walk.
Who is crazier amongst the two of you?
Saahil: She is a simple girl and I'm a mad person so I'm.
Sangeita: Saahil and I am the serious one.
Quick bites
Your favourite corner on sets?
Saahil: My room.
Sangeita: Outside the makeup room and my chair with a cup of tea and my script.
Your favourite food on sets?
Saahil: My own meals which I carry.
Sangeita: I get my tiffin box and I enjoy home-cooked food, but I enjoy tea and lemon tea on the set.
The thing you cannot do on the sets?
Saahil: I can't use my phone as per the rules of the production and taking a nap on set is a challenge.
Sangeita: With our kind of schedule we are usually sleep deprived and I can't sleep on the sets.
Your favourite line on the sets?
Saahil: When my director says “Pakao math”.
Sangeita: When our director says “Nice” and that's an assurance of a good take.
Your stress buster on the sets?
Saahil: Whenever I'm sad or not feeling good about things I go for a walk with my headphones on and listen to some dhinchak Bollywood songs.
Sangeita: Music. Whenever I feel low and want to change my mood... I take a walk with my earphones and listen to some music.
Your dream date?
Saahil: A date in Paris. Dinner on the Eiffel Tower will be just perfect.
Sangeita: Good time spent with someone special is like a dream and an outing on a yacht would be interesting.
Birthday?
Saahil: August 8.
Sangeita: January 23.
