Moms handprint their children, so why shouldn’t pet mamas do it with their beloved babes too?

This easy recipe should take about 15-20 minutes (that is if your pet will agree to participating!). So, grab your cat or dog when he or she is in a mellow mood and a few basic items from your kitchen cupboards to get started:
• Flour
• Salt
• Water
• Vegetable oil
• A mixing bowl
• Food coloring (optional)
Pre-heat oven at 200 degrees. Combine 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt. Slowly mix in 2 tablespoons of oil and 3/4 cup of water. Knead mixture until it becomes soft, non-sticky dough that is able to hold its shape. At this point you can add a couple drops of food coloring if you would like colored dough.
Roll out the dough until 1/2 inch thick.
Use round object like an empty can or freehand with a blunt knife to cut out shapes. If you want to be able to hang the paw print later, punch a hole in the dough with a firm straw. Press your pet’s paw gently into the dough, but firmly enough to make an impression. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes to 1 hour at 200 degrees.
TIP: If you have kids and pets you can do a “family” print together.
