Off the record @Rowson’s: a platform that supports original and experimental forms of alternative music in an easy going setting is brings the trend to Hyderabad

Kickstarting on August 31, the first edition of ‘Off the record @Rowson’s’ will enthrall music lovers in the city with live performances by the bands, ‘The Family Cheese’, ‘Mad Orange Firework’ and ‘The Upper Basement’. As Indie as they are, influences such as funk, jazz, rock & roll mixed with garage band rawness give these bands its unique upbeat soul.

The gig aims to capture the essence of the Indie scene with bands that have been playing extensively across the country and have made waves for being extremely talented and entertaining. The event is targeted at music lovers seeking alternative ways to express themselves, living up to the multi-ethnic spirit of the city.

Commenting on the initiative Bhavesh Somaya, Marketing Director, Diageo India said, “We wish to create a trendy, laid back and easy going atmosphere for alternative forms of entertainment in the country. We are thrilled to take ‘Off the Record’ to music enthusiasts in Hyderabad. This is our endeavour to promote the new and emerging talent pool by giving them a unique platform while capturing the essence of the growing ‘Indie scene’ in India”. The tickets for ‘Off the Record’ are priced at Rs 200 and the event will be held at The Shed: Potens Crossfit Centre (situated behind Inorbit Mall, Durgam Cheruvu Road, Hitec City).
