Sumskrithi wins Under-12 title

All the finalists after the prize distribution function of the Amar Bio-organics India Pvt Ltd-AITA Talent Series Junior Ranking Tennis Tournament-2013 at Pallavi School playground in Bowenpally on Saturday.

Unseeded D Sumskrithi took giant strides in her career while continuing her good run with a 6-4, 6-0 crushing of third seeded M Sahithi Reddy to clinch the Under-12 girls’ singles title in the Amar Bio-organics India Pvt Ltd-AITA Talent Series Junior Ranking Tennis Tournament-2013 for Under-12 and 14 boys and girls.

Organised by Surya Tennis Foundation, it concluded at Pallavi School playground in Bowenpally on Saturday.

All the eventual titlists were from Andhra Pradesh with players from other States given the marching orders by the semifinal stage.

Meanwhile, Venkat Anikait justified his top billing in the 6-2, 6-3 drubbing of second seed Ganta Sai Karthik Reddy.
