Amway gifts roller to SCF

The Masab Tank-based Sports Coaching Foundation (SCF) has reason to celebrate, thanks to the largesse of personnel from Amway India Enterprises, which presented the best possible gift commemorating the former’s 23rd Foundation Day.

In a significant gesture, the MNC donated a Hydraulic playground roller that is estimated at Rs 6.5 lakh.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Secretary (Industries) Pradeep Chandra and K V Rao, former President of Andhra Cricket Association, said that this would go a long way in helping shape the careers of many youngsters, who train at SCF.

They appreciated the efforts being put in by the Foundation’s founder-Secretary and former Ranji player, K Saibaba.

Chandra hoped that more corporate houses and industry captains would emulate the precedent set by Amway and come forward with sponsorship and financial assistances to NGOs that were into promotion of sports amongst the economically backward sections of the society free of cost.

Rao, a former CEO of Nagarjuna Holdings, formally switched on the newly acquired equipment.

Saibaba, while thanking Amway for rising to the occasion, assured to take forward the SCF mission of tapping rural talent and those from slums and providing them with avenues to hone their skills.
