Street Cause and ROOTS ISBM (International School of Business & Management), conducted a blood camp on Sunday at Lamakaan. The camp was organised in association with the NTR Blood Bank.
90 people registered for the programme. A mini blood test was conducted by the doctors. A few of the applicants were rejected due to low hemoglobin level or low blood pressure. The rejected applicants were mostly girls who had low hemoglobin levels. 48 donors were allowed to donate after the screening. The donors were given certificates and donor’s card. The blood camp lasted for three hours.
“Blood is something everyone needs and everyone has it. It is a good way to engage students through blood donation towards community service,” informed Prof BP Padala, chairman, Roots ISBM.
