AP regain korfball title

Andhra Pradesh started off the 27th senior National Korfball Championship by defeating West Bangal in the quarter finals by a huge margin of 15-03. Jaiswal starred with his five points tally. In the semifinals, Andhra Pradesh thrashed Chandigarh to win the match 14-4. Daniel and Amit helped the team win by scoring 5 and 4 points respectively.

The aggressive play by Andhra Pradesh continued as they bumped into Chandigarh in the finals again. Despite a defeat in the semifinals, Chandigarh showed no signs of improvement as Andhra Pradesh dominated the match till the last minute to win the championship. Daniel continued his good form from the previous game and scored 5 points. The champions received a warm welcome on return as the AP Korfball Association Joint Secretary D Prithviraj, International Korfball refree Santhosh Kumar and AP team captain GS David received and felicitated them for their good show.
