Hyderabad: The Women’s Association of Lord’s Institute of Engineering and Technology (LITS) conducted a series of empowering activities on the occasion International Women’s Day.Addressing the girl students, LITS secretary Rizwana Begum emphasised the role of women in society, and exhorted the need for their upliftment.
She also called for extending care and consideration to the poor women in the society, as they are the most neglected and deprived.In tune with the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day ‘Make it Happen’, many in-house competitions including essay writing, singing, rangoli Ikebana, etc were conducted to create awareness among the girl students.
