Top stars for PSPB badminton event
The cream of Indian badminton including K Srikanth, RMV Gurusaidutt, Ajay Jayaram, PV Sindhu and Jwala Gutta, will be seen in action in the 37th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board(PSPB) Inter- Unit badminton tournament organised by GAIL (India) Limited at Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad from May 24 to 27.
The cream of Indian badminton including K Srikanth, RMV Gurusaidutt, Ajay Jayaram, PV Sindhu and Jwala Gutta, will be seen in action in the 37th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board(PSPB) Inter- Unit badminton tournament organised by GAIL (India) Limited at Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad from May 24 to 27.
Sibhu Ganguly, General Manager of GAIL told media that apart from the host, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited, Oil India Limited, Bharat Petroleum Limited, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited will be fighting for the team and individual honours.
“The Team Championships will be held on May 24 and 25 while Individual events will be conducted the next two days” he said. Team championship will be conducted for the men, women and veterans and each team can field four singles and two doubles players. Individual championship will be played on the knock-out format.
M Ravindran, Director (HR), GAIL will inaugurate the tournament on Tuesday in the presence of Indian chief coach while Pullela Gopichand.
