In the spirit of the day

On a quiet Sunday winter morning, an unusual mix of ‘athletes’ warmed up inside the lush green Sanjeeviah Park overlooking the serene Hussain Sagar Lake.

Ahead of Children’s Day, Hyderabad Runners organised a ‘Kids Run’ to celebrate the spirit and innocence of childhood and see the next generation of runners revelling in the joy of running without a care. Over 200 youngsters along with their parents turned-up braving the early morning cold.

They enthusiastically took part in a short run, games and fitness activities. The seniors too, celebrated fitness and camaraderie - some ran, some walked, some pushed strollers with infants as they ran/walked up 3km on the pathways inside the Park.
