Mahati Creations, a Hyderabad based cultural organization had conducted a three-day social drama festival from January 1-3 at Sidhartha Auditorium. Noted theatre and movie personality Uppaluri Subbaraya Sarma, the founder of Mahati creations stated that the organisation would like to conduct the drama festival every year.

Noted theatre and movie personality Uppaluri Subbaraya Sarma, the founder of Mahati creations stated that the organisation would like to conduct the drama festival every year.
A total of seven playlets were staged during three days. Manikatha Arts, Kondevaram presented a playlet titled “ Bandhala Baruventa”. The original story written by Jasti Ramadevi and Chalikani Venkatrao adopted the story to stage and also directed the play. The second playlet” Sorry Wrong number” presented by Lalitha Kalavahini, New Delhi. Script by SA Rao and directed by M. Kusuma.
On second day the children play “Bhala! Dingari” was staged by Kalaradhana Sri Gururaja Concept School, Nandyal. Script by B. Kamalakar and directed by MSK Prasad, The second playlet on Tuesday was “Gurthuteleni Savam” presented by Janasreni, Vijayawada.
This was adopted by Yellapragada Bhaskara Rao to the original story written by AN Jagannadha Sarma and directed by YS Krishneswara Rao. The third play let “Pacha Chandurudu” presented by Ganogtri, Pedakakani. This was penned by Dr. Bokka Srinivas and directed by Naidu Gopi. This was also an adopted story of GV Krishna Rao.
The final day of festival was commenced with the play “Kukkapilla” presented by Telugu Kala Samithi, Visakhapatmam, written by Bharatula Ramakrishna and directed by JS Satish. “Anaganaga Oo Office” was staged by Geetanjali Art Theaters, Vijayawada. This comedy playlet was written by BV Syam Prasad and directed by Vaddadi Satyanarayana.
During the three days festival yesteryear‘s theatre actor and director Ch. Kabirdas, Addanki Prasad and famous play and novelist Yendamuri Veerendranath were honoured. DN Deekshit, Modali Nagabhushana Sarma, Panduranga, Madugula Ramakrishna, S. Narasa Raju, Gummadi Gopalakrishna, MC Das, NVL Nagaraju, Dr. Kandimalla Sambasiva Rao, Kota Srinivasa Rao and others were shared the dais during the three days meeting.The festival was designed by U Subbaraya Sarma and D. Ramakoteswara Rao.
