Charminar: Mansi Gulati has conducted Yoga camps in 90 per cent of the jails in India, including a 14-day camp in Tihar Jail. A Yoga practitioner and Mrs India Asia International 2015 winner, Mansi said, “People go to malls but never to heritage sites. I have been conducting yoga sessions all over the country and recently decided that I should conduct sessions at historical monuments. So I chose Charminar.”

She just finished conducting a Yoga session at Humayun’s Tomb at Delhi which elicited good response. Buoyed by the good response, Mansi would be conducting a Yoga session at Charminar at 7.30 on Sunday.

Into teaching Yoga for the last 19 years, Mansi, 29, has travelled across the country and taught a cross-section of people including State heads, Governors, school children, housewives, jail inmates and just about anyone.

A firm believer in the power of Yoga, she says, “Just a few minutes of Yoga will make one look a decade younger and I never teach for more than 20 minutes. Later, a person can practice for just five minutes daily and it would be enough.”

A single parent, Mansi adopted four children and is full-time into promoting Yoga. The benefits of Yoga are so many it is not just to look good but one becomes clean from inside and it paves the way for a disciplined life. “Do not forget to come on Sunday,” she says as she signs off.
