Fire breaks out at Zoo park

Bahadurpura: A major fire broke out in the premises of Nehru Zoological Park on Monday morning gutting several trees and grass on a considerable area. Fire tenders from Chandulal Baradari reached the spot and doused the raging fire and averted a major mishap.

According to the fire officials, there was no casualty and reason for the incident was said to be accidental spread of fire from the garbage which was being burnt. District Fire Officer Srinivas Reddy said that the fire team reached the spot immediately on information. However strong winds caused the fire to spread and damage several trees meanwhile. The major mishap was averted by controlling the fire. As Monday being holiday for public
entry, there were no visitors at zoo.
