Locals gripe on chemical waste dump in Gokul Nagar

Kapra: Residents of Gokul Nagar Colony at Mallapur division are complaining about the chemical drums godowns and dumping yard in the residential locality.
Colony president T Mallkaih and secretary VSN Reddy lamented that they complained about this issue to the concerned authorities but they is no response.

Chemicals stink, mosquitoes and other insects leads to diseases, they complained. The colony representatives demanded authorities to issue notices to the plot owners.
When contacted, GHMC health officer Dr Maitrayee said that they are going to issue notices as well as penalty to concerned plot owners. She also assured that dumping yard will be shifted to another place at the earliest.
