Golla Cheruvu tank gets `4.41 cr for development

Tandur: Minister for Transport Mahender Reddy on Sunday said that Rs 4.41 crore has been sanctioned for development of Golla Cheruvu tank bund, a mini tank bund.
Earlier, as part of the Mission Kakatiya phase-II Rs 79 lakh was released for development of Golla Cheruvu. With the release of the latest funds, the tank bund would be widened to six meters. Benches and lighting would be provided, Batukamma Ghat would be built, railing would be raised, cycling and walking tracks would be developed.
Further, the minister said that Rs 42 crore has been sanctioned for development of 192 tanks in Tandur Assembly constituency. TRS leaders Ajay Prasad, Ravoof, K Purushottama Rao and others were present at the meeting.
