Charminar: Finally, there seems a movement in the Musi River Beautification project and State government has called upon the local and global companies to propose designs for the comprehensive development.

The River Front Development has been the crucial announcements of the state government. State government wants the development designs to be global and global in nature.

Architectural companies have been asked to register their names for proposing the designs for Musi River. Last date for registering is May 9 and so far 10 companies have been registered their names in this race.

As part of the plan, the 57 km area including catchment area would be developed on the global standards. The first phase would be from Puranapul to Chaderghat which is about 3 km. These works may start from December this year.

State government has asked various departments including GHMC, Water board, HMDA and Musi River Beautification Corporation. Moreover, the government has decided to award the three best designs for the development.

Musi River flows from Osman Sagar and flows about 57 km in city to the Gaurelli area outside city. The government has proposed to build a East-West corridor across the entire stretch of Musi. It was contemplated that the works can be completed by the end of 2019 end.

Musi River Beautification Corporation is currently working to start the beautification works of first phase by 2018 and wants to see it completed within five months. Different companies from China, US, Denmark, Singapore and other countries have come up with their proposals so far.
