Qutbullapur: The ‘Rythu Bandhu Scheme continued for the second day on Friday in Mallampet gram panchayat with MLA KP Vivekananda and MLC Sambipuram Raju participating in the grand event, where 102 pattadar passbooks and 107 cheques were distributed to farmers.

Medak district Joint Collector Srinivas Reddy and Revenue department officials ensured that the function passed off without any hitch. Officials arranged food under specially erected tents for the benefit of farmers. The JC and two legislators served food to the waiting ryots.

Addressing the gathering, the legislators asserted that a golden chapter in the lives of farmers has been opened with the launch of the Rythu Bandhu benefits. They praised Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for ushering in the scheme intended to provide relief to ryots from falling into debt trap and generating confidence in them.

Later, the legislators participated in the Rythu Bandhu programme in the government school in Kompalli gram panchayat. They distributed 128 cheques and 117 passbooks to farmers. Addressing the gathering, they noted that ryots were happy with the benefits being showered on them by the TRS government. Among those present were JC, Revenue officials, ZP Vice-chairman Prabhakar Reddy.
