New Colony organises Mother’s Day fete

Serilingampally: Mother's Day celebrations were held on a grand note at New Colony in Miyapur division.

Local MLA Arekapudi Gandhi, Corporators Meka Ramesh, Janaki Ramaraju and Navatha Reddy felicitated mothers and distributed sarees to them. The MLA said that one should show affection and love to mothers throughout the year and not just on dedicated days.

He lamented that mothers were being sent old age homes. He appreciated organisers for conducting the programme. Organiser Varalakshmi, TRS leaders Yerragudla Srinivas Yadav, BSN Kiran Yadav, Gangadhar, Kashinath Yadav, Yellam Naidu, Rajender Pothula, Sulochana, residents and others were present.
