Vikarabad: Major Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao along with Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy on Monday inaugurated an electric sub-station at Chinchelpet village of the district and laid the foundation stone for a community hall for the SCs. Harish Rao said that two road bridges across River Musi would be built and directed district collector Omar Jaleel to set up SBI branch in the town.

Mahender Reddy said that the state government disbursing Rs 12,000 crore benefiting 58 lakh farmers in the state and put the quantum of input subsidy extended to farmers in Vikarabad district at Rs 243 crore. He referred to additional sanction of funds to restore Kesanapalli tank, extending Rs 13,000 through KCR kit programme, disbursement of Rs 1000 per head as pension to the aged and six kg of rice per head.

Further, he said setting up of dialysis centers in government hospitals. Under Rytu Bandhu Scheme, the state government disburses Rs 80 lakh towards input subsidy to farmers of Chinchelpet. He said that life insurance cover for Rs 5 lakh would be extended to each farmer. Farmer having pattadar-passbook is eligible to get the benefit.

He referred to distribution of new clothes among the poor for Dasara, Ramzan and Christmas by the KCR government as an eldest son in the family. Land registration in Tahsildar office commenced at the Nawabpet MRO office on a pilot basis, he said. Later, Harish Rao distributed Kalyana Lakshmi cheques amng the beneficiaries.

He said when the rulers of the Delhi threw off their hands out of helplessness in purchasing red gram, the CM KCR got the red gram purchased at MSP. He said that godowns have been built in each and every mandal. He offered to set up an agriculture market yard provided 10 acres of land is allotted in the mandal.
