At Kondapur in BP Raju Marg, the residents of White Fields say that the overflowing drains have become a common sight for people here. It’s been more than a year and yet it continues.

At Kondapur in BP Raju Marg, the residents of White Fields say that the overflowing drains have become a common sight for people here. It’s been more than a year and yet it continues.

The officials have not taken any steps to solve the problems. Residents complain that the high tension electric wires passing just above their houses, have been posing a grave threat. It has been requesting authorities to resolve this for over a year and now is turning into major health hazard of the residents.

Ravi Pasupunuri Director operations of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) said, “The Sewerage System is maintained by the GHMC, We will coordinate with the person concerned who deals with it in the GHMC and get it resolved soon.”

Rajeshwari, a resident of Kondapur said, “The claims made by officials about ensuring hygienic conditions fall flat as we the residents of Raju Marg continue to suffer due to overflowing sewerage in Kondapur.”

Laxmikanth Reddy, resident said, “After several complaints some of the officials who responded to our complaints by saying they will start the work soon.” It is not easy for us to get out of our house especially children in the residence who go school and colleges every day but because of this bad situation some of them do not turn up, but as the officials have finally heard our issue hope the work starts as early as possible, he added.
