Chikkadpally: Telangana Legislative Council chairman Swami Goud on Sunday revealed that the government was planning to appoint one cultural teacher in all the schools and colleges to encourage arts in the State.

Swami presented Telangana spoorthi awards to State Grandhalaya Parishad president Ayachitam Sridhar, BC Commission members Juluri Gowrisankar and Vakulabharanam Krishnamohan at a function jointly organised by a cultural NGO named Ujjwala and Telangana Tourism Department at Thyagaraya Ganasabha.

He appreciated the organisers for selecting people who had fought for Telangana Statehood for the awards. Ujjwala president Lakhsmi and other dignitaries MK Ramu, Lion Vijay Kumar, Rajendraprasad were present.
