Siddipet Collector holds meeting with Ration Dealers
District Collector P Venkat Ram Reddy along with Public Distribution System officers on Wednesday held a meeting with the ration dealers who are on strike for the increment of their salaries and for pending payments across the district.
Siddipet: District Collector P Venkat Ram Reddy along with Public Distribution System officers on Wednesday held a meeting with the ration dealers who are on strike for the increment of their salaries and for pending payments across the district. The Collector tried to make the dealers to call off their strike in order to avoid inconveniences to the poor families who are dependent on monthly Public Distribution System.
He said that he would represent their issue to the government to resolve their problems in amicable way and urged them not to create obstacle to 2,81,412 poor families in the district and to immediately call off their strike and submit DDs for the next month PDS. The Collector also assured the ration card holders not to worry about the distribution of rice for the next month. The meeting was attended by DMCSC Ravindar and ACSO Suresh Reddy and other officials.
