Police raid house illegally storing rice, wheat
The south zone Task Force team, under the supervision of S Chaitanya Kumar, Addl DCP and with civil supplies officials, on credible information raided a house at Vattepally and seized 30 quintals of PDS rice 2 quintals wheat on Sunday
Falaknuma: The south zone Task Force team, under the supervision of S Chaitanya Kumar, Addl DCP and with civil supplies officials, on credible information raided a house at Vattepally and seized 30 quintals of PDS rice & 2 quintals wheat on Sunday.
The house which comes under Falaknuma PS limits was used to store illegally PDS items so that the accused could sell it at higher prices. The Taskforce team apprehended 25-year-old Md.Haji, a resident of Falaknuma. The accused has been handed over to Falaknuma Police for further action. The aauthorities have been keeping a keen eye on the illegal storage of rice. It may be noted that last year in the month of September, three persons were caught storing food grains.
Recently, the Telangana government isued strict instructions to launch a drive agaist hoarders of rice and wheat. Officals of the South Zone Task Force team said that they are on the lookout for more such perosns and would wipe out the meance in the coming days.
