Plea to shift transformer from SC housing colony in Nayalakal

Zaheerabad: A high-voltage electric transformer has been posing a threat to the residents of the SC colony in Nayalakal as it has been set up amidst the housing colony. Therefore, the residents urged the Electricity department officials to take steps to shift it to an alternative location.
According to them, a transformer has been set up long back in Nyalakal to cater to the electricity needs of the SC colony. But there was a wild growth of plants around the transformer. The colony residents are experiencing anxious moments on what could happen to them.
Colony residents Ganga Ram, Gangaram, Manik and others said that the matter was taken to the notice of officials, but of no avail.
Speaking to The Hans India, they urge the electricity department officials to save them from the impending danger by relocating the court to elsewhere.
