Mopidevi moves bail plea

Hyderabad: Former minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao, who has been in prison for little more than a year in connection with the disproportionate assets case registered against Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, filed a bail application before the special court for CBI cases.

This is the third bail application to be filed by Mopidevi since his arrest on May 24, 2012. The court posted further proceedings to June 5 directing the CBI to file its counter. Mopidevi, in the third application, said that he had been in prison for more than one year though the chargesheet on his alleged role in the case was filed months ago.
