Hyderabad: The two-day 26th annual convention of the Quality Circle Forum- Hyderabad chapter drew to a spectacular close on Friday. In his address at the valedictory function, AK Khan, Managing Director of APSRTC, stressed the need to develop quality aspect in every area of work. “Japan is regarded as a model state just because quality is being taken care of in all aspects. We should emulate Japan,” he said. Having been at the helm for quite long, he could understand the problems of workers of RTC, Khan mentioned and added that he would focus on quality factors only after resolving workers’ issues. “I strongly believe that any company or an industry would have longevity if it continues to focus on quality,” he observed.

He, along with Vaman Rao, Chairman of Hyderabad Media House Limited, presented awards to employees who had striven to bring in quality. Several employees working in various companies across the country participated in the celebrations. NMDC won the Best of the Convention award for its outstanding work. “We encourage innovative ideas from employees and award them at this annual function. The meritorious lot who follow best practices in terms of quality will always be recognised by companies,” Balakrishna Rao, Chairman of QCF, said.

The celebrations were held annually under the aegis of the Quality Circle Forum of India and the concept of quality was highlighted at every meet, he explained.
