Post the bifurcation of the State, there are about 40,000 ex-servicemen in Telangana, many of whom haven’t registered their names with the Sainik Welfare Department.

Ex-servicemen stand to gain many benefits and concessions provided by the State government, including 2 per cent reservation in Group II B and IV posts in government but unfortunately there is not much awareness on this regard. We will be conducting awareness programmes for the personnel shortly.” Two octogenarians AVM EG Salins, VM and Flt Lt MS Narayanan were felicitated with AFA momentous on the occasion.
