Athmanandamayi, founder of Divya Babaji Sushumna Kriya Yoga Foundation, said, “Sushumna Kriya Yoga meditation is a powerful divine art which when practised diligently, leads to enlightenment.” Initiating the meditation programme conducted at Shilpa Kala Vedika on Sunday, the diverse gathering chanted Omkara twenty-one times and rhythmic breathing fourteen times.

After the meditation session, Athmanandamayi explained how meditating for 49 minutes a day would help lead a stress free and happy life. She also stressed that group meditation results in creation of lots of positive cosmic energy leading to enhanced health and faster spiritual development. She explained the simple techniques that could be used to meditate at any time of the day or night but stressed that the best results are achieved early in the morning when a thoughtless mind is reached easily.
