The sixth Republic Day ride organised by The Atlanta Foundation managed to kindle the nationalistic fervour among corporate CEOs and employees as hundreds took part in the 100 km ride that started from GMC Balayogi stadium at Gachibowli on Monday.

The sixth Republic Day ride organised by The Atlanta Foundation managed to kindle the nationalistic fervour among corporate CEOs and employees as hundreds took part in the 100 km ride that started from GMC Balayogi stadium at Gachibowli on Monday.

Harpreet Singh, IT secretary, Government of Telangana, flagged off the longest running series of India’s most popular corporate cycling event. Jayesh Ranjan, VC & MD of TSIIC; Ramesh Loganathan, president of HYSEA, Rabindranath of Raheja Mindspace, Amarnath Atmakuri, students of Anjaiah Nagar School, Deena Harapanahalli and several CEOs and government dignitaries graced the occasion.

Bicyclists from ADP, Wells Fargo, Franklin Templeton, Dr Reddy’s, Novartis, Pramati Technologies, FCS, Promanthra, Innominds, Sutherland and other companies participated in the ride. ADP with 180 riders followed by Dr Reddy’s with 100 riders were prominent.

IT policy to be announced soon

Harpreet Singh said that the government would announce an IT policy soon and the largest incubation centre for which the foundation stone was laid recently would be ready in six months. He added that the government’s focus was on skill development of Telangana students and that the government wanted to make them job ready. Towards this end, the government is talking all necessary steps to upgrade their employability skills.
